Install Step Tracker on Android

This installs Step Tracker as its own app. The home-screen icon opens the stepper portal and keeps counting with the screen off.

  1. Download the Step Tracker APK (v1.0.7) and allow install from this browser. If you already installed it, update/reinstall over the old app.
  2. Open the app. Allow Physical activity and Notifications when Android asks — both are needed so steps count with the screen locked.
  3. Tap Start, then walk with the phone. The notification should show “steps this walk” as you move.
  4. The icon is named Step Tracker. It is separate from the MD Portals app.
